This Tecnoseal kit replaces the sacrificial anodes on Mercury Bravo 2 and Bravo 3 sterndrives, in zinc, with the hardware included. Zinc is the traditional saltwater anode metal, protecting the drive’s aluminum and stainless components from galvanic corrosion.

Choosing the right anode metal

Salt water: zinc or aluminum.

Fresh water: magnesium. Zinc can coat over and stop protecting in fresh water.

Brackish water: aluminum is usually the most versatile choice.
