Boat Care Center

Clean, protect, and restore your boat without guessing at products.

Start with the condition your boat is actually in. Each path explains the process first, then shows a matching Sonark Marine product when stocked; third-party options are used only when they add something different.

Pick the situation, then follow the process.

A regularly washed boat does not need the same products as a chalky, oxidized hull. Salt exposure, mildew, and neglected gelcoat each call for a different approach.

Use only the product needed for the condition. More chemicals do not automatically mean a better result.

Quick rule

Dirty but maintained: wash and protect.
Saltwater exposure: rinse and wash first, then protect metal and hardware.
Mildew or black streaks: clean the stain first; use a preventer only after the surface is clean.
Dull or chalky finish: clean or compound first, then wax.
Quick scuff touch-upBoat erasers for small scuffs and vinyl marksUseful for spot-cleaning marks before a full wash, stain-removal, compound, or wax step.See guide →
