A regularly washed boat does not need the same products as a chalky, oxidized hull. Salt exposure, mildew, and neglected gelcoat each call for a different approach.
Use only the product needed for the condition. More chemicals do not automatically mean a better result.

Dirty but maintained: wash and protect.
Saltwater exposure: rinse and wash first, then protect metal and hardware.
Mildew or black streaks: clean the stain first; use a preventer only after the surface is clean.
Dull or chalky finish: clean or compound first, then wax.

After saltwater use
Corrosion Block 32 oz with Pump
Rinse and wash first. Then use corrosion protection on suitable metal parts and hardware according to the product directions.
This is a corrosion protectant, not a substitute for a complete freshwater rinse.
After cleaning
Xanigo Mold and Mildew Preventer
Remove existing mildew with a cleaner approved for the material. After the surface is clean and dry, apply a preventer according to its label.
Corrected claim: this product helps prevent return growth; it is not presented here as an existing-stain remover.
Fiberglass recovery
Collinite 920 Fiberglass Marine Cleaner
Clean dull or weathered fiberglass before applying wax. Severe oxidation can require machine compounding or professional correction.
After cleaning, protect the finish with Collinite 925 Fiberglass Marine Wax.
