The Victron Argo FET 100-2 is a battery isolator that lets one alternator charge two separate battery banks while keeping them isolated, so running the house bank flat never leaves the start battery dead. It uses FET switching instead of diodes, which cuts the voltage drop that makes old diode isolators undercharge.

Isolator tips

Size to the alternator. The isolator’s rating should meet or exceed your alternator’s maximum output.

Low drop matters. Diode isolators can drop enough voltage that batteries never fully charge; FET isolators like this one keep charging voltage close to what the alternator delivers.

Fuse each output close to the battery with correctly sized cable.
