The Sea-Dog fixed antenna base is a 4-1/4" flange mount formed from 304 stainless steel, for antennas that stay upright and do not need to fold down, with cable feed through the base.

Mounting tips

Check the thread. Most marine VHF, GPS, and TV antennas use a standard 1"-14 thread.

Plan the fold-down. A ratchet mount lets you lower the antenna for bridges, trailering, storage, and covers. Check clearance through the full swing before drilling.

Back it properly. An 8-foot antenna puts real leverage on its mount in wind and waves. Use backing plates or through-bolts on thin decks and hardtops, and bed fasteners with marine sealant.
