NMEA 2000 backbone and connection parts

Identify whether you need a backbone cable, drop cable, T-connector, terminator or device adapter. Verify connector type, cable length and device compatibility against your equipment manuals. An NMEA 0183 connection is a different interface; choose any converter for the specific devices and data you need to exchange.

For a radio installation, use the VHF setup guide alongside the equipment's network diagram. Browse marine electrical supplies for the rest of the installation.
